I LOVE Crochet Cables with Bonnie Barker
Saturday, May 26
1 – 4 pm
1 session, 3 hours
$45
Description:
In this class, we will cover many different crochet cables; some using post stitches (Wheat Cable, 4-Post Cable, Honeycomb Cable, Celtic Weave) and some that are worked vertically (Cable Stitch, Arrow Stitch, Low Front Ridge, Knurl.) You will be amazed at how easy it can be to make these beautiful crocheted textures using the crochet hooks you already love. You will leave with many new swatches (and written instructions) plus ideas of how to combine these together into beautiful cabled designs.
Skill Level:
Intermediate
Special Skills Required:
Attendees should be familiar with the basic crochet stitches (sc, dc, tr, slip st, ch) and be able to crochet them in rows without adding or decreasing stitches unintentionally. Confident beginners are welcome to attend if they are able to do the above.
Homework:
It would be very helpful to make at least 6 swatch foundations as follows: “Ch 21, dc in the 4th ch from hook and in each ch across.” This can be done using lighter colored worsted or DK size yarn and the appropriate crochet hook. Any yarn from your stash like this will do. Be sure you have enough yardage to complete 6-10 small swatches
Supplies:
Enough yarn to complete at least 6 to 10 sample swatches and the appropriate hooks for yarn selected
