We are thrilled to offer the Colors of Reywa Cowl in the shop and our online store! We fell in love with this gorgeous cowl and the ethical work Reywa Fibers does to support the fiber industry in Tibet. We have a limited number of these kits available, and you can check out our shop sample to see it knit up and feel the softness of the yak down.
From the colorways of the yarn to the geometric motif, the Colors of Reywa Cowl is a tribute to the nomads who roam the Tibetan Plateau and to the yaks which sustain them.
Designed by Rebecca Hall, the cowl is knit from 13 mini-cakes of Reywa Fiber’s Harmony yarn, which is a light, sport-weight blend of 50% Yak Down, 50% Fine Wool. Each nature-inspired colorway evokes an element of the Plateau’s rough and rugged terrain, from its rocky, snow-covered peaks to its sweeping grassy hillsides teaming with summer wildflowers. For her design, Rebecca was inspired by the the colorful geometric patterns found in Tibetan architecture, rugs, and fabric.
Reywa Fiber’s 100% yak down yarns are hypoallergenic, will never pill, are warmer than merino wool, get softer and softer with each wear, and develop a lovely halo over time.
