An easy project doesn’t have to be boring! Our new cowl pattern, designed by Beth Knarr for Knit Locally, features modern colorful stripes in a pattern that is beginner-friendly and fun to knit.
“A Cowl of a Different Color” can be knit as long cowl (perfect to double-up for warmth, or wear long to show off all of the colors) or a scarf. It is knit from one “21 Color Kit” from Blue Sky Fibers, as well as 3 skeins of Woolstok in a main color of your choice (we used Highland Fleece.)
If you purchase your yarn at Knit Locally, the pattern is included for FREE!
While the pattern includes the order of colors that we used, it also has a space for you to write in your own custom color order.
The pattern takes its name from the color-changing horse featured in the classic movie, “The Wizard of Oz.”
